SENIOR YEAR (2007-08)

Named Indiana's Big Ten Sportsmanship honoree • saw his first action of the season against Longwood • tied his career high with three points against UNC Wilmington, on 3-of-4 shooting from the foul line in four minutes of action • also tied a career high with two rebounds • pulled down an offensive rebound against Coppin State • recorded an offensive rebound in the NCAA Tournament game versus Arkansas • looks to join father Steve (1972-75) as the first father/son combo to play hoops for four years at IU and earn a degree • earned Academic All-Big Ten Honors.

JUNIOR YEAR (2006-07)

Played in five games off the bench • had an assist against Penn State (3/3/07) • had a board against Purdue (1/10/07) • tied a career-best with three minutes against Western Illinois (12/6/06) • had a rebound in that game • also had a rebound against Chicago State (11/19/06) • earned Academic All-Big Ten Honors.

SOPHOMORE YEAR (2005-06)

Played in four contests during the season • hit his first career three-pointer in the 100-63 win over Florida A&M (11/21/05) • scored first points of his Hoosier career on a pair of free throws against Nicholls State (11/18/05) • played two minutes and had two rebounds and an assist against Nicholls State • earned Academic All-Big Ten Honors.

FRESHMAN YEAR (2004-05)

Played in two contests during the season • saw the first action of his career playing the final minute against Furman (1/2/05) • also played in first Big Ten game and grabbed first career rebound vs. Northwestern (3/5/05).

PREP/PERSONAL

Walk-on guard is the son of former Indiana guard Steve Ahlfeld, who lettered for the Hoosiers from 1972-75 and has spent the last 20 years as IU's team orthopedic surgeon • was the team co-captain as a senior at North Central, helping the team to a 21-4 record and its first sectional title since 1999 • fellow IU guard A.J. Ratliff was a high school teammate, and Ratliff and Ahlfeld helped North Central to a No. 2 state ranking for much of the 2003-04 season • earned all-league honors • the son of Helen and Dr. Steve Ahlfeld was born Oct. 9, 1985 and majors in elementary education.
