Selected as the Northwest Region Player of the Year • ranked 19th in the nation among guards according to noted recruiting analyst Bob Gibbons • named the MVP of the The Republic All-Star Classic with a 28-point performance • considered the top senior shooting guard on the West Coast and one of the premier shooters on the national AAU circuit • followed that performance with 17 points and seven rebounds in 19 minutes of action at the Derby Festival Classic • averaged 17.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists, while shooting .530 from the floor last season at Deer Valley High School • led Deer Valley to runner-up in the Arizona 5A state championship. • prior to transferring to Deer Valley his senior season, Shaw averaged 20 points, seven rebounds and six assists as a junior at Chandler High School.
