Indiana head coach Tom Crean
On how the team hung in for most of the game:
"There's no question, we had a lot more fight tonight and a lot more intensity. We really had some moments tonight when we played very good team basketball. Unfortunately the last five or six minutes got us, in the sense of not good enough individual or team defense. They have two future NBA players and we don't have the ability or the maturity in our lineup yet to just bear down and get stops. That's why we have to rely on our team defense."
On keeping Manny Harris without a field goal the first 29 minutes:
"But he was too much at the end. We reverted back (to our old way of playing) a little bit at the end. In the last five minutes of the game, so many things play out in those situations. Unfortunately for us, we reverted back to who we are at this point and they made the plays that they make under pressure. It wasn't like anyone other than their two main guys did anything. We just couldn't finish them off."
On looking for improvement from the front line:
"Christian Watford played well. I would really like to keep moving him around because he was outstanding in a lot of different situations tonight. He got five offensive boards and he got to the basket. I thought he should have had more than three free throw attempts. But he did some really, really good things, there is no doubt about that."
