    *The Hoosiers had just eight turnovers in the game, a season-best, and had just three after halftime.

    *A three-pointer by Northwestern's John Shurna pushed the Northwestern lead to 58-38 with 12:34 remaining, but Indiana proceeded to go on an 11-2 run to cut it to 60-49 on a pair of free throws by Verdell Jones III.

    *Indiana was 23-for-27 (85.2 percent) at the free throw line, a season-best percentage. The 23 made free throws is the fourth-best output on the season. Verdell Jones III led the way with 12-for-13 at the stripe, a career-best for the sophomore.

    *The Hoosiers had ten offensive rebounds in the game, the fourth consecutive game they have reached double figures, and the six time in the last seven games. On the year, IU has grabbed at least 10 offensive boards in 15 of 22 games.

    *The starting back court of Verdell Jones III (5) and Jeremiah Rivers (6) accounted for 11 of the Hoosiers' 32 rebounds as a team.

    *Verdell Jones III had 28 points, a career high, to go along with five rebounds, six assists, a block and a steal

    *Christian Watford joined Jones in double figures with 16 points, including 6-for-8 at the free throw line.

    *Jeremiah Rivers did a little bit of everything, scoring five points, pulling down a team-high six rebounds and registering three steals.

    *Freshman Derek Elston was in the starting lineup for the third straight game, and fifth overall.

    *Sophomore Tom Pritchard was a perfect 2-for-2 at the free throw line, just the third time this season he was perfect at the stripe in a game.

    *Freshman Jordan Hulls finished with four points and two rebounds off the bench.

     

     

    *Sophomore Daniel Moore made a pair of late driving layups to finish with four points while adding two assists and a steal in 21 minutes of action as a sub.
