Indiana at Purdue
After Purdue won the series in the 1990's 12-9, Indiana holds a 12-5 edge since 2000, after what could be the last meeting between the two teams this decade.
The Hoosiers became the first visiting team this season to shoot 50 percent or better in Mackey Arena against the Boilermakers. The Hoosiers made 29 of 58 shots overall, including 16 of 30 (53.3 percent) in the second half.
The Hoosiers won the battle of the boards, 34-29.
Indiana won the battle inside, outscoring the Boilermakers 42-32 in the paint.
Freshman Verdell Jones III led Indiana with 16 points and five assists. It was his second straight game of 16 points and in the last five games he is averaging a team-high 14.4 points per game.
Freshman Tom Pritchard had 12 points and eight rebounds, his first double-digit scoring effort in eight games. He made six of 11 shots from the field.
Senior Kyle Taber had a career-high 10 points and added five rebounds. He also had an assist and a block. He made five of seven shots.
Freshman Malik Story made his third career start and had nine points and matched his career-high with four assists.
Junior Devan Dumes had seven points and was two of four from three-point range.
Freshman Matt Roth had four points, two rebounds and an assist in 25 minutes.
West Lafayette native Broderick Lewis played 14 minutes and had a free throw and two rebounds.
