The Hoosiers posted a 37-36 edge on the glass, marking the 26th time in 30 games they have won or tied their opponents.
Indiana had three players score in double figures (Troy Williams-18, Will Sheehey-13 and Kevin "Yogi" Ferrell-10).
IU registered 10 assists in the contest, the 19th time this season with double digit assists and four of the last five games.
The Hoosiers scored 26 points in the paint compared to 24 from Nebraska and held a 13-8 advantage in points off turnovers.
Trailing 50-41 with 12:52 left in the second half Indiana used an 11-2 run and tied the game 52-52 with a 3-pointer from Will Sheehey at the 10:08 mark.
Senior Will Sheehey recorded his third consecutive game scoring in double digits (50th of career) with 13 points. It was his 17th double figure scoring game of the season and he has reached double figured in seven of the last eight games. Sheehey also grabbed four rebounds.
Sheehey is currently 43rd on the Indiana all-time scoring list with 1,090 points.
Freshman Troy Williams led the Hoosiers with 18 points (7-of-12 shooting) and pulled down six rebounds. Williams scored in in double figures for the seventh time this season. He went 2-of-2 from the 3-point line, marking the first time this season he has made multiple shots from long range.
Sophomore Kevin "Yogi" Ferrell scored 10 points and added eight rebounds (ties career high) and five assists. Ferrell has scored in double figures in 28 of the Hoosiers 30 games this year and has 40 career double figure scoring games.
Freshmen Devin Davis scored seven points and tallied three rebounds.
Freshman Stanford Robinson scored seven points and recorded two rebounds.
Graduate transfer Evan Gordon scored two points and tallied four assists, two rebounds and one blocked shot.
