    Indiana Postgame Notes Nov. 9, 2012

    • Indiana has now won 15 straight season-openers and 28 consecutive home-openers.

    • The Hoosiers improve to 2-0 all-time against Bryant, also winning the previous matchup in 2009.

    Tom Crean is 13-1 all-time in regular season-openers, including his 8-1 mark during his career at Marquette. On his way to victories in each of his four season-openers at Indiana, Crean's teams have outscored their opponents by an average score of 89.4 to 61.0. In his 14 season openers, Crean's teams have allowed 69 or more points just once.

    • For Indiana, freshman Kevin (Yogi) Ferrell was in the starting lineup marking the sixth consecutive season that at least one freshman has started the season opener.

    • Indiana shot 15-for-27 (55.6 percent) in both halves

    •Cody Zeller posted a double-double (18 points, 10 rebounds) against the Bulldogs, the sixth of his career. He also recorded a double-double in the season opener against Stony Brook last season.

    •Christian Watford set a career-high 15 rebounds this evening (1 offensive, 14 defensive), surpassing his previous best of 14 against Michigan State (2/28/12). He also collected his 13th career double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds against the Bulldogs.

    • Watford's 15 rebounds are the most by a player under Tom Crean (since 2008-09 season)

    • Watford also has moved up to 25th on the career scoring list at Indiana with 1,302 points, passing Tom Bolyard (1,299)

    • Senior Jordan Hulls entered tonight's game with 970 career points, and after his nine points against Bryant, is just 22 shy of becoming the 44th player in IU history to surpass 1,000 career points. Hulls also handed out five assists and had just one turnover.

    •The 54 points allowed in this evening's 97-54 win is the fewest amount allowed in a season-opener under Crean.

    • Tonight marks the second straight game with five or more players scoring in double figures (Watford, Zeller, Ferrell, Sheehey, Abell, Hollowell), as the Hoosiers also had five against Kentucky in the NCAA Tournament on March 23, 2012.

    •Watford (15) and Zeller's (10) double-digit rebounding performance marks the first time Indiana had two players with 10 or more rebounds in the same game since March 8, 2012, when IU defeated Penn State in the Big Ten Tournament at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

    • The Hoosiers had six players in double-figure scoring (Watford, Zeller, Ferrell, Sheehey, Abell and Hollowell) which marks the first time the since Jan. 29, 2012 when Zeller, Watford, Elston, Jones, Oladipo and Sheehey did so against Iowa in Bloomington.

    Victor Oladipo dropped in five points, four rebounds and three steals in 23 minutes

    • Ferrell ended up with 10 points, five rebounds and seven assists (two turnovers) in 24 minutes of action in his first collegiate game.

    Will Sheehey connected joined five others in double figures with 10 points in 12 minutes

    Maurice Creek went 2-for-3 from behind the 3-point line for his six points to go with three rebounds

    Remy Abell came off the bench to score 12 points and had a perfect night from the field: 6-for-6 from the charity stripe and 2-for-2 from the 3-point line

    • Freshman Jeremy Hollowell was 4-for-9 from the field in his first collegiate game for 12 points and was also 4-for-4 from the free throw line in 17 minutes of action.

    • The game was played in front of a sellout crowd of 17,472.
