Indiana won the first game of the Bloomington Regional Round in the Progressive Legends Classic, topping North Dakota State 87-61.
The Hoosiers will play Sam Houston State in game two of the Bloomington Regional Round of the Progressive Legends Classic on Thurs., Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. ET. The game will air live on BTN.
The Hoosiers scored 25 points off turnovers, forcing 16 Bison turnovers in the game. The 25 points is the most off turnovers for IU since scoring 27 off 19 turnovers against Howard on December 19, 2011.
IU got 37 points off the bench, and has 77 points from the pine this season. The IU bench is averaging 38.5 points in two games this season.
Sophomore Cody Zeller scored 22 points in 26 minutes of action, including 14 points in 15 minutes in the first half. The sophomore hauled in nine rebounds as well and added two blocks.
Senior Jordan Hulls finished with 11 points, moving his career total to 990, passing Matt Nover (978) for 44th all-time on IU's career scoring list. Hulls added four assists and two steals and finished without a turnover.
Hulls finished 3-of-6 from behind the arc, moving his career total to 177 made 3-pointers. He is now one three shy of Kyle Hornsby for sixth on IU's all-time list of made threes.
Sophomore Remy Abell scored a career-high 14 points, reaching double figures for the second time this season and the third time in his career. Abell hit 3-of-3 from 3-point range and finished 5-of-5 from the floor.
Abell's three makes from behind the arc are a career-high, topping his two from the season opener. After never making more than one trifecta last season, he has multiple threes in both games this season, and he is a perfect 5-of-5 from downtown this season.
Freshman Jeremy Hollowell had a career-high 14 points, reaching double-digits in the first two games of his career (12 vs. Bryant). Hollowell hit 5-of-6 from the charity stripe and 4-of-8 from the field. He added two rebounds and a block in 19 minutes of action.
Junior Will Sheehey finished with nine points, two rebounds a steal and an assist. He finished a perfect 6-of-6 from the charity stripe.
Junior Victor Oladipo scored seven points and added eight rebounds, a career-high four steals and five assists. He recorded four takeaways for the third time in his career, and the first time since he picked UMBC's pockets four times on December 22, 2011.
Oladipo moved his career total to 633 points, surpassing three players to move into the top 80 on IU's all-time scorers list.
Senior Christian Watford had six points and four rebounds. Watford ranks 25th on the career scoring list at Indiana with 1,308 points.
Redshirt junior Maurice Creek hauled in four rebounds and dished out an assist in 15 minutes.
Redshirt sophomore Raphael Smith played one minute and grabbed two rebounds.
