The Hoosiers improved to 5-0 for the fourth straight year with the win and scored their second most points ever in 20 games at MSG (106, Columbia, 1975 Holiday Festival). It was the third time this season that IU has topped the century mark, which marked the first time IU has done so in a season since 1998-99.
IU shot over 50 percent for the third straight game making 34-of-66 shots (51.5 percent) in the process. The Hoosiers shot 62.9 percent in the second half. In those three games, IU is shooting 53.0 percent from the floor.
The Hoosiers also shot a season-best 86.1 percent from the free throw line making 31-of-36 charity tosses. IU's non-starters were 12-of-12 from the free throw line. IU leads the nation making 29.5 free throws per game.
IU also outrebounded the Huskies 50-29 and are third in the country on the boards and average 51.8 per game.
The Hoosiers had a season-high 16 assists.
Freshman Troy Williams had a career-high 22 points and added eight rebounds. He made 8-of-12 shots and 6-of-7 from the line.
Sophomore Kevin Yogi Ferrell had 20 points and five assists and is the first Hoosier to have three straight 20-point or better efforts since Verdell Jones III did so against Illinois, Purdue and Northwestern in January and February of 2010.
Freshman Noah Vonleh had 18 points, nine rebounds and two steals and just missed out on his fifth straight double-double. He made 7-of-11 shots from the field.
Senior Will Sheehey had 16 points and five assists and also made 7-of-11 shots from the field.
Freshman Devin Davis was hit with foul trouble but managed to score four points and have three rebounds.
Classmate Luke Fischer had a big three-point play and added two rebounds and a block in nine minutes.
Sophomore Hanner Mosquera-Perea, sophomore Austin Etherington and senior Jeff Howard each had two points. Senior Evan Gordon had a free throw, but added four rebounds and two assists without a turnover.
