    Kelvin Sampson

"You could tell we really picked up our rebounding (the last 10 minutes). That is the best I have seen us rebound offensively."

"For the most part, I thought we defended them well. (Illinois State head coach) Tim (Jankovich) did a good job of junking the game up. Their box-and-one had us off-balance a little bit. There were parts of the game that weren't very pretty, but I don't care about that. We're 4-0, and that's what our goal was."

"I thought we handled the street fight a lot better the last 10 minutes. These kind of games tell you things. The most important thing about this game is that we won it. Don't ever lose sight of how important that is."

"I thought a big key for us was getting them in foul trouble. That will be abig part of this teams offense."

"It is good that Jordan got to play 20 minutes (in the second half). That is not what we had planned, but down the road that will help him."

    Eric Gordon
"I would say for about half of the game we didn't execute as well as we should, but it was a really physical game."

"They switched up things in the second half, and it was a good thing that we had Jordan to make a lot of good plays for us."

    Jordan Crawford

On his play in the second half
"I saw that they were running a box and one trying to stop E.J. and a lot of teams are probably going to try that. Coach has always told me on the road I need to help my team and thats what I tried to do."
