    Indiana Postgame Notes Nov. 26, 2010

    •The 34-point margin of victory is the second-largest under head coach Tom Crean, falling just shy of a 38-point drubbing against Bryant University on Dec. 28, 2009.

    •With its perfect November slate this season, Indiana is now 41-1 in Assembly Hall in November dating back to a 75-64 loss to Louisville on Nov. 24, 1984. The only loss in that time was a 75-67 loss to Duke on Nov. 30, 2005, as part of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

    •Indiana won the battle of the glass for the sixth consecutive game, 47-28. The Hoosiers also held a 15-12 edge on the offensive boards, marking the 45th time under head coach Tom Crean that IU has reached double figures in offensive boards.

    •Indiana's 100-point output was the first time the Hoosiers have scored 100 more points since they tallied a 100-52 win over Western Carolina on Dec. 15, 2007.

    •Six Hoosiers scored in double-figures in the win. The last time IU has had six or more players with double-digits was on Nov. 18, 2007 in a 100-49 victory over Longwood.

    •The last time Indiana put up 60 or more points in a half was Dec. 10, 1999, against Buffalo. The Hoosiers scored 63 points in the second half on their way to a 106-55 win.

    •Indiana's perfect record of 6-0 is it's best since the 2002-03 season when IU began the year 8-0.

    •The 42 points in the paint is the most this season for IU and the most since they scored 42 against Ole Miss on Nov. 19, 2010.

    •The 34 bench points are the most this season for Indiana and the most since they scored 34 against Bryant on Dec. 29, 2009.

    •13 different IU players pulled down at least one rebound in the game.

    •Indiana shot 64.7 percent in the second half, it's highest output of the season for a half. It's the second time this eason IU has shot over 60 percent from the floor in one half (60.9 percent in the second half against Wright State on Nov. 14).

    •With the victory, Indiana is 3-0 all-time against Northwestern State.

    •Indiana shot 56.3 percent from the field for the game, making it the fourth time this season the Hoosiers have shot 50 percent or better from the field.

    •IU connected on a season-best 36 field goals for the game - the most under Tom Crean. The Hoosiers also dished for a season-high 23 assists, also the must under Tom Crean.

    •Indiana grabbed a season-best 47 rebounds in the effort and outrebounded demons by a plus-19 margin. IU has won the battle of the boards in every game this season.

    •Indiana nabbed 11 steals, a season-best, and it marks the third time this season IU has had 10 or more steals in a game.

    •IU won the battle underneath outscoring NSU 42-18 in the paint.

    •Verdell Jones III led the Hoosiers in scoring for the second time this season with 24 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field.. He also dished for a season-best seven assists and grabbed five boards. His 24 points are the second-most by a Hoosier this season, three shy of his total against Wright State. It is also the 15th time that Jones has scored 20+ points in a game in his career.

    •Jones also went 10-of-11 at the free throw line marking the first time that a Hoosier has made 10 free throws in a game since Feb. 16, 2010, against Michigan State when Jones made 11-of-12.

    •Christian Watford scored 17 points and has scored in double-figures in every game this season. Watford reached double figures for the sixth straight game and the 28th time in his career with 17 points.

    •Maurice Creek finished with 14 points and tied his season-best with four 3-point field goals.

    •Freshman Victor Oladipo scored a career-high 12 points to go along with a career-best five rebounds, five steals and five assists.

    •Will Sheehey came off the bench and provided a career-high 10 points, five rebounds, two assists and one steal in 13 minutes.

    •Bobby Capobianco scored four points and pulled down four rebounds in eight minutes off then bench.

    •Derek Elston also made an impact off the bench, scoring six points and snatching five rebounds in 18 minutes.
