Indiana Head Coach Tom Crean
"This was a two-part game for us in the sense that early on in this game when we couldn't create any separation because we didn't recognize what was being given to us, was when my concerns kicked in. I think it was a microcosm of our week. We did not have a great week (of practice) and we have to continue to learn. This is a hard lesson to learn. We have got to grow through experiences and build a maturity level that we understand how valuable every day is."
On not maintaining the early momentum:
"We did not recognize what was there. We are back to square one on mistakes. We are back to square one on lack of communication. We are back to square one on timeouts. We are back to square one on not recognizing...there were some things that were so open that we had seen on film and did not take advantage of when we saw them in the game, and then they closed them up as time went on as good teams do. We didn't take advantage of that and I think it mirrored the week. I told the coaches and the team, we lost this game on certain practices days over the last week. I am a firm believer in that."
On the team's inability to get to the free throw line:
"I think there was one aggressive basketball team tonight, and it wasn't Indiana. That's what it was more than anything else. We missed big opportunities to get the ball where we wanted it. It just wasn't there. We've got to a better job of continuing to find Tom (Pritchard) and Kyle (Taber)."

Senior Forward Kyle Taber
"The main thing is that we've just got to get better and a lot more physical. We have got to get a winning mentality."
On the team's mindset:
"We know where our mindset needs to be when we get back (from Christmas break). We know where Coach wants it to be. We need to be ready when we get back."

Northeastern Head Coach Bill Coen
Any time you can get a win on the road against a quality opponent such as IU, it's a terrific thing. I thought it was a very hard fought basketball game on both ends. We were just fortunate enough to get a couple of bounces and get some rebounds today and I thought that was the difference in the game.
On the team's preparation coming into this game:
I thought we had a great week of practice. We have some guys that are veterans and have been around a while and kind of know the rhythm. They have been in these types of environments. We've played at Louisville, we've played at Illinois and Connecticut and Boston College and so on. So I think those games prepared us for this terrific college basketball environment.
On what the team did defensively against Tom Pritchard:
I think he is going to be a terrific young player. We were really concerned about him on tape. He does so many things well and has a great touch around the basket and a tremendous rebounder. So we were just conscious of really trying to keep him off the backboards so he didn't get second chance points.
On adjustments at halftime:
In the second half, especially in a loud environment, our defense communication was critical. I thought early on in the first four or five minutes of the half, we didn't do a good job of that. But then we did a better job the rest of the half.
