Indiana Postgame Notes
The all-time series between Indiana and Illinois is now tied, 85-85.
Indiana connected on 10-of-22 from long range, its most made 3-point field goals this season and the most since making 12 at Purdue on Jan. 30, 2013.
In the last six games, Indiana is shooting 39 percent from behind the 3-point line
After going 24-of-30 (.800) at the free throw line at Illinois, the Hoosiers have made at least 20 free throws in each of the last three games. It's also the fourth time this season that IU has converted 80 percent or more of their free throws.
The Hoosiers out-rebounded Illinois by a 43-31 margin, and have yet to be out-rebounded in a game this season.
Sophomore Kevin Yogi Ferrell led all scorers with 30 points, a new career high. It's the most points by an IU player since Christian Watford scored 30 points at Iowa on Jan. 23, 2011. He also added five rebounds and four assists while playing 43 minutes.
Ferrell also made five 3-point field goals in the game, the second time this season he has made that many triples in a game (Samford).
Freshman Noah Vonleh finished with 16 points, nine rebounds and a season-high four blocked shots.
Vonleh also went 10-of-12 at the free throw line, the second time this year he has made at least 10 free throws in a game (13 at Syracuse).
Graduate student Evan Gordon reached double figures with 10 points and four rebounds
Senior Will Sheehey had nine points, five rebounds and two assists
Freshman Troy Williams added eight points and four boards in his 21 minutes of action
Sophomore Hanner Mosquera-Perea came off the bench to score six points and haul in four rebounds in 15 minutes of play.
Sophomore Jeremy Hollowell did not score but had six rebounds and three assists
