Hoosiers On The Road Again At Michigan
Jan. 5, 2008
#11/12 Indiana (12-1, 1-0) at Michigan (4-10, 0-2)
The Indiana men's basketball team is ranked 11th in the AP Poll and 12th in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll and will travel to Michigan for the only regular season meeting between the two teams.
IU has won its last eight games, the longest winning streak during Kelvin Sampson's two-year tenure, and is coming off a 79-76 win at Iowa in the Big Ten opener, January 2.
The Wolverines are coming off a 65-58 loss at Purdue. In last year's meetings, the Hoosiers won a 76-61 decision in Bloomington, while Michigan posted a 58-55 win in Ann Arbor.
Indiana has won 14 of the last 16 meetings between the teams since February of 1999, including a 5-2 mark in Crisler Arena.
Indiana is now 2-0 on the road for the first time since the 2001-02 season and is looking to win its first two Big Ten road games since that same campaign which culminated in the Hoosiers advancing to the NCAA title game.
Indiana's eight game winning streak is its longest since the start of the 2002-03 season and with a win, the Hoosiers would have their longest continuous string of success since they won 13 in a row in the 1992-93 season.
