Noah Vonleh Earns Fifth B1G Freshman of the Week Honor

Bloomington, Indiana - Indiana University freshman Noah Vonleh was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the fifth time this season after the Hoosiers win at Penn State. Vonleh scored a career-high 19 points and added six rebounds and a blocked shot in the 79-76 win for IU. He scored the first 12 points for IU and hit both of his three-point field goals in that stretch. He has made 4 of 5 three-pointers in league play.
Vonleh is averaging 12.3 points and leads the Big Ten averaging 9.3 rebounds per game. He is seventh in the league in shooting (54.7) and his six double-doubles also is a league best. In addition to points and rebounds, he also leads B1G frosh in blocked shots (18) and free throws made (75) and attempted (103). He also leads all freshmen nationally in rebounds per 40 minutes at 16.0 per game.
The Hoosiers will host undefeated Wisconsin on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. and Northwestern on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
