Coach Crean Encourages Absent Season Ticket Holders To Give Their Seats To Other Hoosiers
Jan. 23, 2010
Bloomington, Indiana - When Indiana takes on Iowa at 6 p.m., Sunday, the Indiana University Athletic Department knows they share many season ticket holders with the Indianapolis Colts who are hosting the New York Jets at 3 p.m. for the AFC Championship. With that in mind, IU Coach Tom Crean is encouraging those who are not able to make the Iowa game to make sure they get their tickets in the hand of fellow Hoosier backers.
"Every home game in the Big Ten is extremely important to our program," said Crean. "With that in mind, I am hopeful that those season ticket holders who won't be with us on Sunday will continue to support the Hoosiers by letting a family member of friend use their tickets to cheer us on."
The game was originally scheduled to tipoff at 5 p.m., but was moved to 6 p.m. The IU Ticket Office has been notifying all season ticket holders directly to notify them of the change in start time.
"I know there are tons of Hoosier fans out there who want the opportunity to joins us and that makes the energy in Assembly Hall even greater," added Crean. "We are looking forward to another great crowd this Sunday."
