Oladipo Named Big Ten Player of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana junior guard Victor Oladipo was named Big Ten Player of the Week after helping the No. 7/8 Hoosiers to two wins over Penn State and No. 13/11 Michigan State last week, announced by the league office on Monday, Jan. 28.
Oladipo averaged 20 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.5 steals, 3.0 assists and 1.5 blocks per game. For the week, he shot 63.2 percent from the field, 75.0 percent from 3 and 72.2 percent from the line. Against Penn State, he had 19 points, six rebounds, five assists in three steals in a 72-49 win in Assembly Hall. On Sunday against the Spartans, Oladipo registered 21 points, seven rebounds, six steals and three blocks. His blocks tied a career-high and his steals set a new IU-best as IU defeated Michigan State, 75-70.
This is Oladipo's second career Big Ten Player of the Week honor (Nov. 14, 2011) and his first this season.
