    D.J. White, Indiana
    Sr., F, Tuscaloosa, Ala./Hillcrest

White averaged 24 points and 15 rebounds in two games and continues his quest to become the first player in the Big Ten to average 12 or more rebounds in conference play in 31 years. The Tuscaloosa, Ala., native had 22 points and 17 rebounds at Wisconsin and 26 points--a Big Ten career-high--and 13 rebounds against Northwestern. He was seven-of-13 from the field and eight-of-10 from the line against the Badgers and nine-of-11 from the floor and eight-of-11 from the charity stripe versus the Wildcats. White also had three blocked shots during the week. He is currently averaging 12.3 boards in Big Ten play. Iowa's Bruce King was the last player to average more than 12 boards per contest in 1977. This is the fourth weekly honor of the season for the Hoosier and fifth of his career. White now ties Indiana's Kirk Haston for the most Hoosier Player of the Week honors in a season (2000-01). Purdue's Glenn Robinson holds the single-season record with five Player of the Week awards during the 1993-94 season.
