No. 18/20 Hoosiers to Face Penn State in Big Ten Tournament

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The No. 18/20 Indiana men's basketball team will be the fifth-seed in the 2012 Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament and will face 12th-seeded Penn State in the first round on Thursday, March 8 at approximately 2 p.m. ET at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The Hoosiers ended the regular season with a 24-7 overall record and an 11-7 mark in Big Ten play after an 85-74 win over Purdue in Assembly Hall on Sunday, March 4. Indiana leads the all-time series vs. Penn State, 30-9, sweeping the Nittany Lions in the regular season this year (01/08 at Penn State, 88-82; 01/22 vs. Penn State 73-54). The Hoosiers are 1-2 vs. Penn State in the Big Ten Tournament. Indiana last met Penn State in the Big Ten Tournament on March 10, 2011 and fell 61-55 in the first round.
Thursday's game will air live on the BTN following the Iowa-Illinois game, which is slated to tip-off at 11:30 a.m. ET.
