Three Hoosiers Earn NABC All-District Honors

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Three Hoosiers were named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division I All-District 7 Team, announced on Tuesday, March 26.
Oladipo, a native of Upper Marlboro, Md., was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, along with earning Sporting News National Player of the Year and First Team All-America, along with First Team All-Big Ten honors. A finalist for the Wooden Award and the Oscar Robertson Trophy, he has led the Big Ten in steals (2.1 spg) and is averaging 13.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game over 31 games this season. Oladipo is also shooting 59.4 percent from the field, to go along with 43.3 percent from beyond the arc.
Zeller, a native of Washington, Ind., was named a First Team All-Big Ten selection and earned Third Team All-America honors from the Sporting News. Also a finalist for the Wooden Award and the Oscar Robertson Trophy, he leads the Hoosiers with 16.7 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. He ranks among the best in the Big Ten rebounds and scoring. Zeller is also shooting 57.1 percent from the field. In IU's regular season finale, Zeller registered 25 points and 10 rebounds in a 72-71 win at No. 7/8 Michigan, including the final six points and altering the potential game-winning shot in the final 52 seconds to secure the Hoosiers' first outright Big Ten title since 1993.
Watford, a native of Birmingham, Ala., is averaging 12.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. He is shooting 48.3 percent from 3 and shooting 81.8 percent from the free throw line.
