    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana men's basketball signee Eric Gordon will take part in the McDonald's All-American Game Wednesday evening. Tip off is slated for 8 p.m. EDT at Freedom Hall in Louisville, and ESPN will televise the game.

    Gordon is one of 24 high school seniors competing in the contest. He will be a member of the 12-man West team. Gordon is the first Hoosier to compete in the game since D.J. White suited up in 2004.

    The Indianapolis native led North Central High School to a 21-5 record and a runner-up finish in the state finals. Gordon finished the season averaging 31.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.2 steals per game.

    Gordon is expected to enroll at Indiana in June 2007 along with fellow signees Jamarcus Ellis, a 6-5, 200-pound guard from Chicago and Chipola (Fla.) Junior College; Eli Holman, a 6-9, 210-pound center from Richmond (Calif.) High School; Brandon McGee, a 6-7, 220-pound forward from Chicago Crane High School; and Jordan Crawford, a 6-4, 190-pound guard from Detroit and Hargrave (Va.) Military Academy.
