    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana men's basketball team will visit ACC newcomer Syracuse in the 15th annual Big Ten/ACC Challenge presented by DICK's Sporting Goods on Tuesday, December 3 in the Carrier Dome, announced by the Big Ten Conference and ACC today. The Hoosiers have won their last two match-ups in this event including an 83-59 win at home over North Carolina last season and an 86-75 triumph at NC State in 2011.

    This will be the fifth meeting with the Orange (Syracuse has won the last four contests), but the first on a respective home court. IU defeated the Orange in the 1987 NCAA Championship game in New Orleans, while Syracuse won in New York City in 1988, in Maui in 1990 and 1998 and last year in Washington D.C. in the NCAA East Regional Semifinal.

    Eight teams in an early preseason top 25, iare included in the event: No. 3 Michigan State, No. 5 Duke, No. 6 Ohio State, No. 8 Syracuse, No. 9 Michigan, No. 11 North Carolina, No. 20 Indiana and No. 25 Iowa. Three of the games will pit ranked teams against each other: No. 9 Michigan at No. 5 Duke, No. 11 North Carolina at No. 3 Michigan State and No. 20 Indiana at No. 8 Syracuse.

    All 12 Big Ten teams and 12 of the 15 ACC teams will participate in the 2013 Challenge, including the three newest ACC members Notre Dame, Pittsburgh and Syracuse. Clemson, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest will not play in the 2013 event.

    Game times and ESPN platforms (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU) will be determined and announced at a later date.
