Calloway And Wilmont Gain NBA Summer League Experience

Two former Indiana men's basketball players Earl Calloway and Roderick Wilmont are getting the opportunity to gain valuable professional experience as they both are participating in sanctioned NBA Summer Leagues.
Calloway, who averaged 9.6 points and had a team-high 125 assists this past season, will suit up for his hometown Atlanta Hawks in the Rocky Mountain Revue which will be held July 13-20 in Salt Lake City. Calloway is a 2002 graduate of Westlake High School in Atlanta. The Hawks entry includes 10 rookies and three others with entering their second season in the league.
Atlanta will play six games beginning with a contest against Utah on July 13. They also will play San Antonio (7/14), Dallas (7/16), Chicago (7/17), Utah again (7/19) and Philadelphia (7/20).
Wilmont, who finished second on the Hoosiers averaging 12.6 points per game and led the team in steals with 36 as a senior this year, is one of 14 players on the New York Knicks summer league squad which is playing in Las Vegas from July 9-15. The Miramar, Florida native has seen action in the Knicks first two games, an 87-74 win over Seattle, and an 88-65 triumph over China.
Against the Sonics, Wilmont had two points and two rebounds in 5:43 of action. When the team played China, he head three points and a board in 9:38 of playing time. The Knicks will play Sacramento tonight, Golden State (July 14) and Denver (July 15).
