2006 Kelvin Sampson Indiana Basketball Clinic
Aug. 8, 2006
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana University coaching staff will host the 2006 Kelvin Sampson Indiana Basketball Coaches Clinic on Oct. 20-21 at Assembly Hall. The Clinic provides an excellent opportunity for high school coaches to spend valuable instruction time with the Hoosier staff and attend an IU practice, followed by a question-and-answer session with Coach Sampson and his assistants.
Sampson is eager to meet and interact with high school coaches throughout the region during the clinic.
"We have three major objectives with our basketball program - to succeed on the court, to achieve in the classroom and to contribute to our community," Sampson said. "Everyone knows that Indiana is a great basketball state with tremendous high school coaches, and this clinic is an opportunity to open our program up to those coaches."
Registration takes place on the south concourse of Assembly Hall from 5:30-7 p.m. on Oct. 20. Instruction takes place from 7-10 p.m., followed by the coaches social at 10:30 p.m.
Breakfast will be available at 8:15 a.m. on Oct. 21, followed by instruction from 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m. The Hoosiers practice from 1-3:30 p.m. Sampson and his staff will conduct a question-and-answer session afterwards.
Cost for the clinic is $60 per coach if they register by Oct. 1, and $75 per coach after Oct. 1. If three or more coaches from the same school register before Oct. 1, the cost is $50 per coach. For more information, please contact the IU basketball office at 812-855-2238.
