Bloomington, Ind.-Indiana senior guard A.J. Guyton is one of 25 players who have been named to the John R. Wooden Preseason All-America Team.

The final ballot for the team will be released in February 2000 and the 10-player All-America Team will be announced on March 28, 2000. The Wooden Award, given to the National Player of the Year, will be announced on April 7, 2000.

Indiana's Calbert Cheaney won the award in 1993.

Guyton enters his senior season with 1,530 career points which is 14th on Indiana's all-time scoring list. He is looking to become just the fifth player in school history to register 2,000 or more career points.

Guyton was a second-team All-Big Ten selection last season after averaging 16.0 points per game.
