Big Ten Men's Foreign Tour Team Posts 0-2 Record In First Two Games In Austria

Park Ridge, IL - The Big Ten Men's Foreign Tour team posted a 0-2 record in its first two games in Austria. The Conference squad lost both games to the Slovakofarma Pezinok Basketball Club, the Slovakia champions, 76-65 and 81-64.
In the first contest, Wisconsin junior forward Andy Kowske led the charge with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Kowske shot 50 percent (7-14) from the field and grabbed five offensive rebounds. Northwestern's Steve Lepore (13) and Purdue's Maynard Lewis (12) also scored in double figures for the Big Ten. Lepore went 3-for-4 from three-point range.
In the 81-64 loss, Kowske again paced the Big Ten team with 12 points and eight rebounds. Lepore and Lewis each chipped in nine points in the effort.
Indiana's Kirk Haston was held scoreless in the first game as he went 0-5 from the field. In the second game, Haston scored seven points and grabbed five rebounds.
The Big Ten Men's Foreign Team continues its schedule with a game against
the Montan Basket Bears on August 10.
