    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Fans who are planning to follow the Indiana men's basketball team on its trip to Puerto Rico this November can take part in some special activities if they choose to accompany the team on its charter flight from Indianapolis to San Juan. The team will depart Indianapolis at 5 p.m., on Tuesday, November 17 and leave immediately after their final game on Sunday.

    "We were overwhelmed by the fan support we received in Maui last year and we are hopeful that the Hoosier Nation will turn out in full force in Puerto Rico," said IU Coach Tom Crean. "We are happy to offer the opportunity to our fans to travel with us and share a unique and up-close experience with the team."

    Costs range from $800 for the flight only to an all-inclusive package which is $2565 for a single and $1985 for a double.

    The Hoosiers will face Ole Miss in the first round of the O'Reilly Auto Parts Puerto Rico Tip-Off, Thursday, November 19 at 5 p.m. (Eastern) and will air on ESPN2. This will be the first meeting between the two teams. The Hoosiers hold a 52-34 edge over Southeastern Conference opponents and Ole Miss is the only SEC team the Hoosiers have not played.

    On Friday, November 20, Indiana will battle Kansas State or Boston University in the tournament semifinal or consolation round depending on the outcome of its first round game against the Rebels. The teams will have a day off on Saturday and then the championship game is scheduled for Sunday at 8 p.m. on ESPN2.

     

     

    Nine of the 12 games in the event will appear on either ESPNU or ESPN2. Dayton and Georgia Tech will open tournament play at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. Villanova and George Mason will compete in the other tournament quarterfinal at 2 p.m. Kansas State and Boston University will play at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
