Haston Scores 11 As Big Ten Team Wins

Park Ridge, IL - The Big Ten Men's Foreign Tour team notched its second straight win by defeating the UBC Stahlbau Oberwart team, 77-72, on Thursday in St. Polten, Austria. The Big Ten team now stands at 2-2 on the tour.
The Big Ten team had a balanced scoring attack with three players scoring in double figures. Purdue sophomore guard Maynard Lewis led the Big Ten for the second straight game with 13 points, including a 6-for-10 performance from the floor. Lewis has now scored in double figures in three of the four contests played on the tour. Indiana sophomore Kirk Haston and Ohio State senior George Reese each chipped in 11 points in the win. Haston also grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
The Big Ten's shooting was its best of the tour as they converted 50 percent of its shots (32-64). In the first half alone, the foreign team converted 56 percent of its shots (18-32).
The Big Ten team wrapped up its tour with a tilt against the Union Gmunden
Basketball Club on August 15.
