    Television Schedule Finalized For Men's Basketball Season

    Bloomington, Indiana - The 2007-08 Indiana University men's basketball program will have all 31 regular season games and two exhibition games televised. The Hoosiers will make 17 appearances on the Big Ten Network, eight on ESPN or ESPN2, four on CBS and will play once on ESPNU. Three games at the end of the regular season have not been assigned a television partner, but will appear on one of the above mentioned networks.

    IU will take on North Alabama (11/4, Noon) and Sampson's alma mater UNC Pembroke (11/10, 8 p.m.) in exhibition games prior to opening the season against UT-Chattanooga (11/12, 7 p.m.). All three games will be shown on the Big Ten Network.

    IU then hosts the first round of the Chicago Invitational Challenge (CIC) against Longwood (11/18, Noon). The Hoosiers will play a second round CIC matchup in Assembly Hall two days later when it plays UNC Wilmington (11/20, 7 p.m.). The event concludes over Thanksgiving weekend at the Sears Center in Hoffman Estates, Illinois as the Hoosiers will tangle with Illinois State (11/23, 8:30 p.m.). In the final round, IU will face either Kent State or Xavier (11/24, 6 or 8:30 p.m.). All of the four games in that event will be on the Big Ten Network.

    Indiana returns home to face Georgia Tech on ESPN in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge (11/27, 7 p.m) before traveling to Carbondale, Illinois to play 2007 Missouri Valley Conference champion Southern Illinois (12/1, 9:30 p.m.) on ESPNU. The Hoosiers home game with Tennessee State (12/3, 7 p.m.) will be on the BTN. Long-time rival Kentucky makes its first trip to Bloomington since the 1990 season (12/8, 4 p.m.) in a game that will air on CBS.

     

     

    During the holiday season, IU will face Western Carolina (12/15, 8 p.m.), Coppin State (12/22, Noon) and Chicago State (12/29, 7 p.m.) on the BTN, while Indiana's final non-conference game will be shown on CBS at home against Connecticut (1/26, 1 p.m).
