BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana junior Tijan Jobe, a native in The Gambia in Africa, sat down with IUHoosiers.com to talk about a wide range of topics from why he chose the number he did to what he is looking forward to this year.

What is your favorite game/shot/moment playing basketball?
"I remember in my last AAU game and I hit the game winning free throw so I would have to say that the best one of my life so far."

What has been the biggest adjustment you have had to make since joining the Indiana basketball program?
"All of the players have been helping me a lot. The coaches, my teammates, they have been a big part of the transition and they continue to push me everyday in conditioning and practice."

If you had to list one person/place/thing that led you to Indiana, who would it be?
"It is one of the top schools in the nation. And I'm trying to major in business and they have one of the best Business schools in the nation as well."

Before joining the Indiana basketball program, what was one word that came to mind when some one said Indiana basketball?
"I would say the history, because everybody here in Indiana loves basketball."

What are you looking forward to the most going into this year?
"Coming and putting in some work and help the team win some games."

What do you enjoy doing when you are not playing basketball?
"I like to watch TV because I'm a big soccer fan and I like to watch it on TV when I can. I have a soccer channel in my apartment so I am able to watch it a lot."

Who has been the biggest influence in your life so far?
"My mother, because I came all the way from Africa. I miss my mom a lot and am able to talk to her at least once a week. When I talk to her, she gives me some advice and things like that."

If you were not playing basketball, is there another sport you thing you could play at the collegiate level?
"I think maybe volleyball because that's one of the sports I used to play...volleyball, soccer and basketball."

Do you have any superstitions before practice or games?
"I would have to say listening to music. And I like to eat Chinese food before games, mixing up the meal each time."

Why did you pick the number you did to wear at Indiana (Jones III wears #12)?
"No real story behind it. I just kind of picked a number that was available."
