    Hoosier Hysteria Schedule Announced

    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana Basketball officially tips off the 2006-07 season with Hoosier Hysteria on Oct. 13, and it promises to be a fun-filled evening for fans of all ages. IU is one of three programs that ESPNU will feature live throughout the evening.

    The Assembly Hall doors will open at 9 p.m. Tickets can be purchased for $2 each (cash only) and go on sale at the IU Athletics Ticket Office the day of the event at 8 a.m. Fans may also donate two non-perishable food items to benefit Hoosier Hills Food Bank as they enter Assembly Hall. (All seats for the event are general admission.) Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Indiana University Student Association (IUSA). All parking surrounding Assembly Hall is open and will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Fans are encouraged to arrive early.

    Here is a detailed schedule of events for the evening:
    • Starting at 9 p.m., the first 2,000 fans in attendance will have the opportunity to get select IU men's and women's players' autographs. Upon arrival, fans will receive an autograph card and a ticket designated for one of the four stations. No outside items are allowed. Only the autograph card provided will be signed. The autograph session will conclude at 10 p.m.
    • Those fans not participating in the autograph session may watch 2005-06 Hoosier highlights on the scoreboard-video board at Branch McCracken Court. Concession stands and the IU Varsity Shop will also be open for business.
    • At 10:45 p.m., the IU Women's Basketball team will be introduced and take the floor. Head coach Felisha Legette-Jack will address the crowd. The women's team will take part in drills and hold a three-point shootout.
    • At 11:30 p.m., the IU Men's Basketball team will be introduced and take the floor. Head coach Kelvin Sampson will address the crowd. The team and cheerleaders have a special performance for the Hoosier Hysteria crowd. In addition, the team will hold a three-point shootout and slam dunk competition.
