BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana Hoosier fans will have a unique football and basketball doubleheader opportunity on Saturday, Oct. 28. Approximately one hour after the conclusion of the Indiana-Michigan State football game (12 p.m. kickoff at Memorial Stadium), the IU basketball team will hold a free, open to the public Cream-Crimson scrimmage at Branch McCracken Court at Assembly Hall.

For 60 minutes following the scrimmage, Indiana players will be available on the court to sign autographs. No outside items are allowed. Only the autograph card provided will be signed.

On Oct. 17, Indiana football coach Terry Hoeppner issued the Hoosier Nation Challenge, calling for 50,000 Hoosiers At The Rock against Michigan State. Head basketball coach Kelvin Sampson is counting on IU fans to rise to the occasion.

"Coach Hoeppner, his staff and the players are doing a fantastic job, and this is a huge Homecoming game," Sampson said. "We need to get out and create a great home field advantage at The Rock."

During the basketball scrimmage, concessions will be available along the west concourse of Assembly Hall. The north lobby ticket booth will also be open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. for fans interested in purchasing tickets for the Michigan State and Nov. 11 Michigan football games, the Nov. 13-14 NIT Season Tip-Off, the Dec. 22 Indiana-IUPUI men's basketball game at Conseco Fieldhouse, the men's basketball Mini Series (Dec. 17 Southern Illinois, Dec. 20 Western Michigan and Dec. 30 Ball State - individual game tickets for these games also available) and 2006-07 women's basketball season tickets.
