BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana University Athletics and its multimedia rights holder, Indiana University Sports Properties (IUSP), announced on Monday, Oct. 24, that Hoosier fans in the greater Indianapolis area can hear men's basketball games on WIBC 93.1 FM for the upcoming season.

The Emmis Communications-owned station will carry all IU men's basketball action throughout the entire 2011-12 season, while WFNI-AM will continue to air the Inside IU Basketball with Tom Crean program and the 3-minute daily show.

IUSP property secured WIBC to carry this year's games and it manages all aspects of the radio broadcasts and the Hoosier Network.

"IU Basketball and WIBC are both iconic institutions that are truly a part of the fabric of Central Indiana, so it only makes sense to pair these two great brands together for the 2011-2012 season," said Emmis Communications' Vice President and Market Manager Charlie Morgan.

"Everyone's already excited for tip off on November 5, and there's no doubt WIBC will be a quality broadcast partner for us in the Indianapolis metro area," said IUSP General Manager Rob Louthain. "We feel certain hoops fans in that market will be pleased with the coverage, as we continue to strive in providing the best Hoosier Network we can."

IUSP is a property of Learfield Sports, which manages the multimedia and sponsorship rights for more than 50 collegiate properties including the Big Ten Conference and other member schools Iowa, Minnesota, Northwestern, Penn State, Purdue and Wisconsin. It also titles the Learfield Sports Directors' Cup, in conjunction with award co-founders NACDA and USA Today. For more information about the company and its collegiate portfolio, visit
