    Bloomington, Indiana - Junior Daniel Moore had 18 points, five assists and four steals, including two in the first two minutes, which fueled the Cream to a 65-51 win in a 31 minute scrimmage that was part of the Night of the Living Red festivities in Assembly Hall.

    This was the third straight year the IU men's basketball team scrimmaged during a Halloween event with this season's edition drawing a crowd of 7,847.

    "I remember when we first did this it seemed that we had 50 or 60 kids in costumes during the parade," said IU Coach Tom Crean. "This year it was unbelievable how many kids were out there and the fans brought such a tremendous energy tonight.

    Moore made seven of nine shots and hit two of three from long distance, but his defense allowed the Cream to score 27 points off of 17 Crimson turnovers.

    "I just try and bring energy to the team, because that is my job," noted Moore.

    Junior Guy-Marc Michel had 14 points, 10 rebounda and four blocked shots. Sophomore Matt Roth showed he had fully healed from his broken foot last season scoring 10 points and making two of five three pointers.

    Freshman Will Sheehey added 10 points, sophomore Bobby Capobianco added seven points and five rebounds and freshman Victor Oladipo had six points and five assists.

    For the Crimson, sophomore Christian Watford led the team with 24 points and added five boards. he knocked in three of four triples. Sophomore Derek Elston had 12 points and seven rebounds, sophomore Jordan Hulls had nine points and three assists, sophomore Maurice Creek had four points and three assists and junior Tom Pritchard had two points and seven rebounds.

    "What I liked most about tonight was that you had guys competing" said Crean. ""We have to continue to push one another every day."

    The Hoosiers will host their first exhibition game at 7 p.m., Wednesday, November 3 against Franklin College. The game can be seen on BigTen
