BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana men's basketball head coach Tom Crean met with members of the media on Tuesday to talk about the team's exhibition opener against Franklin College at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Here's a brief transcript of what coach Crean had to say about Franklin:

"Without a doubt it comes fast as a coach. I've said it every year and I'll probably continue to say it as long as I coach and that is that you are never where you want to be when you get ready to play your first game. We are very anxious to play.

"I have a lot of respect for Kerry Prather and Adam Martin, who is a Bloomington native. It is the biggest reason we decided to take this game this year and to give all of those guys the opportunity to come and play at Indiana and in Assembly Hall. We think they are going to be a worth opponent. It has been fun to watch them on film from last year because they do a good job of playing inside-out. (Will) Conoley is very good inside the post and they do a very good job of driving the ball. They will put pressure on our pick-and-roll defense, which I am excited about, because not only to they use the ball-screen but they refuse it quite a bit. And they move the basketball, so I think it is going to be good to play someone else.

"But I am going to be far more concerned about how we play and the things that we do, like our toughness level, our rebounding level and things of that nature. That is what we are going to look to establish tomorrow night as best we can."
