Tom Pritchard Talks About USC Upstate Game
Nov. 15, 2009
Bloomington, Indiana - Sophomore Tom Pritchard talks about the Hoosiers as they prepare for Monday night's game against USC Upstate. Tipoff is at 8:30 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.
What do you think of this team's ability to be patient and take the best shot?
I think it is an unselfish team and that comes through good chemistry. Sharing the ball is something Coach Crean really stresses. We work on it all the time in practice and it is transferring to the game.
It looked like this team really is learning how to stretch a lead and has not panicked when challenged, is that something you have noticed?
"It is something we have to do at home. When teams are down you can't let up. It is something we stressed last year, but just weren't able to do. This year, we have more guys who can all bring something different to the lineup and I think that makes it better for us."
Is the stretch where you built upon your halftime lead against Howard and example of that?
"It really started off with defense. We had our legs and the defense got the offense going."
What challenges do you see the team needing to work on as you move toward Puerto Rico?
"Defense is always something we stress on. We didn't talk early on in the Howard game and we need to have active hands and be quicker."
