Hoosiers Host Sycamores

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana (1-1, 0-0 Big Ten) opens the home portion of its schedule on Nov. 17 when it hosts Indiana State (1-0, 0-0 Missouri Valley Conference) at 8 p.m. at Branch McCracken Court at Assembly Hall (17,542). The Hoosiers are looking to bounce back from a 60-55 loss to Butler in the second round of the Dick's Sporting Goods NIT Season Tip-Off. The Sycamores started the 2006-07 campaign with a 74-71 victory over Western Michigan on Nov. 14.
The Indiana University Radio Network will air every Hoosier game, as WHCC (105.1 FM) serves as the flagship station for a network that has more than 40 statewide affiliates. Don Fischer is in his 34th season as the play-by-play man, with former IU guard Todd Leary in his sixth season as color analyst and Joe Smith in his 24th season as the pregame, halftime and postgame host. The Indiana-Indiana State game will be a split feed telecast. Anthony Calhoun (play-by-play) and John Laskowski (analysis) will be on the call for ESPN Plus, and Jason Pensky (play-by-play) and Jim Waugh (analysis) will handle WTWO-TV in Terre Haute.
Indiana owns a 16-5 lead in the all-time series with Indiana State, including a 10-2 record in Bloomington. The Hoosiers are looking to avenge a 72-67 setback in Terre Haute last season, and the last four games have been decided by 13 total points. In fact, the Sycamores have held IU to 67 points or fewer in each of the last four meetings.
