Dane Fife earned Big Ten Player of the Week honors for the first time in his career after earning Great Alaska All-Tournament honors. He led Indiana to a third place in the event, averaging 14.7 points while shooting a blazing 61 percent (11-18) from three-point range.

The Hoosier senior produced the two best offensive games of his career to lead the team to a 2-1 mark in three games. Fife opened the tournament with a career-best performance against host Alaska-Anchorage, pouring in a team-high 20 points on 7-9 shooting. The 6-4 guard hit 6-8 from three-point range, as the Hoosiers set a new school record with 16 total treys. After scoring seven points against Marquette, Fife bounced back to net 17 points with four treys in a win over No. 24 Texas, the second-highest point total in his career. His previous scoring-best was 15 points set last season against Penn State (2/3/01).

For the tournament, Fife shot 67 percent from the field (16-24) and added 13 rebounds, eight assists, two steals and two blocks.
