White Out Set for Saturday's Game Against Kentucky
Dec. 5, 2007
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - On Saturday, Dec. 8, against rival Kentucky, the Indiana men's basketball team will welcome its first of three "White Outs" this season. All fans are encouraged to wear white to the game, which will be televised by CBS at 4 p.m. EST.
The last time the Hoosiers hosted a "White Out," a sell-out crowd saw the Hoosiers take on No. 1 Duke in front of one of the most energetic audiences in recent memory.
"That crowd against Duke was probably the most exciting I've seen at Assembly Hall," senior D.J. White said. "The building was electric and I don't remember it ever getting any louder than that here."
Saturday's game against the Wildcats will be the first contest between the two long-time rivals in Bloomington since 1990. The two storied programs have gone head-to-head every season since 1969.
"It's going to be exciting to take on Kentucky here in Bloomington with the home court advantage that our fans provide," White said. "I can't wait to see the stands filled with white on Saturday. It's going to be crazy in here."
