Zeller Earns Third Big Ten Freshman of the Week Honor

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Freshman forward Cody Zeller earned his third Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor after helping lead the Indiana men's basketball team improve to 8-0 on the season for the first time since 2002-03.
Zeller led the Hoosiers with 17.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 2.5 steals per game in IU's two games last week. He had 19 points, seven rebounds and two blocked shots to lead Indiana to a comeback win at NC State in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge on Wednesday night. Against Stetson on Sunday, he had 16 points, seven rebounds, four blocks and four steals as the Hoosiers dominated the Hatters, 84-50.
Zeller leads all true freshmen nationally in field goal percentage (67.7) and steals (21). He is fifth in rebounds (60) and eighth at 15.5 points per game.
He has also earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors the week's of Nov. 14 and Nov. 21.
Indiana returns to action on Saturday, Dec. 10, when it plays host to No. 1 Kentucky for a Red Out in Assembly Hall. Saturday's game is slated to tip-off at 5:15 p.m. ET and will air on ESPN.
