Guyton Named Player of the Week

The Big Ten Conference today announced that Indiana University senior guard A.J. Guyton (Peoria, Ill./Central) has been recognized as its Player-of-the-Week. He shares the award with Michigan's LaVell Blanchard.
Guyton, who has scored 20 or more points in every game this season, helped Indiana win two games this past week. In an 81-64 (OT) win vs. Notre Dame, Guyton scored 20 poins and added six assists. In the Hoosiers' 83-75 win over Kentucky at the RCA Dome this past Saturday, Guyton scored 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting, including 4-of-6 from three-point range. Guyton also added six assists. In the two games this past week, Guyton dished out 12 assists while committing only one turnover while playing 80 minutes (45 vs. Notre Dame, 35 vs. Kentucky).
Indiana (4-0) will travel to Columbia, Mo., on Tuesday to play the Missouri
Tigers. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. EST and the game will be broadcast
