Bloomington, Indiana - Sophomore Tom Pritchard talks about Tuesday night's contest against Pittsburgh in the Jimmy V Classic and the Hoosiers trip to New York City.

Talk about getting the opportunity to play in Madison Square Garden:

"It's a great opportunity, I 've never been to New York before and to play in one of the best gyms ever is going to be a great experience for the team and everyone else who comes. All the fans that are going to show up in New York, I'm sure we will have a lot of people up there. Its going to be a different experience and something I'll remember forever."

Tthe Big East is also known for being one of the most physical conferences. Is this something you are going to look forward to, get yourself prepared mentally for against Pittsburgh?

"Yeah, it is something I'm looking forward to. I like to think my game is very physical so I think I go well against physical teams. They've played there, Big East has played there a lot, so just coming in there is going to be a new experience for everybody and hopefully we'll be able to pull it out."

You guys are really on the cusp to getting over the hump or so it seems, what have you guys talked about as team individually, away from the coaches, away from everybody else?

"Just one thing that we really didn't have last year is just extending a lead. I think that is something that is really going to be helpful for us. When we were up seven against MD we really had a chance to bury them and go inside and go to the free-throw line but we just decided to shoot jumpers and our defense started slacking. So I think its really defense and extending a lead is something we really need to work on."

What are some of the things you are doing differently this year? What are some of the things you guys are doing to try and expedite that situation, and that comfort level and rotations, things like that that are going to help you down the road as you get into conference play next month?

"In practice, Coach has been switching up the teams lot, a lot of new guys are playing with other guys, I think that's good. I think everybody should be able to mesh with everybody, its just something that we've got to do. If there is a good line up in and they make a run that's good. Team chemistry is just something we can always build on, I think its been good lately, but it can always get better. With certain guys on the court we can make runs and hopefully Coach will be able to find that lineup."
