    2007 (Senior): Played just one snap on the season, but it was a crucial one, as he converted a fourth-and-1 on a quarterback sneak against Purdue ... provided strong senior leadership and was crucial in the development of young quarterbacks Kellen Lewis and Ben Chappell.

    2006 (Junior): Moved from quarterback to tight end during spring practice ... appeared in eight games as quarterback, making two starts and throwing one touchdown ... led the Hoosiers to a season-opening 39-20 win over Western Michigan, passing for 192 yards and a score in the victory ... finished the year with 386 yards passing.

    2005 (Sophomore): Fashioned a record-setting season as he shattered Antwaan Randle El's single-season passing touchdown standard of 17, set in 1999, with 22 scoring strikes ... moved into second on a pair of other single-season charts ... his 212 completions finished behind Babe Laufenberg's 217 in 1982, while his 376 attempts stand behind Steve Bradley's 402 in 1984 ... 2,305 passing yards were the fourth most in school history ... also provided some offense as a rushing threat with 121 yards and four touchdowns.

    2004 (Freshman): Appeared in six games and was 2-of-3 for 10 yards in the first game of the season against Central Michigan ... against Illinois, he completed three passes for 41 yards.

    2003: Redshirted the 2003 season ... following spring drills in 2004, Powers earned IU's Most Outstanding Freshman for his performance.

    Prep: First team all-area quarterback and second team all-state honoree, he is Meade County High School's all-time leading passer ... snared PrepStar All-Region recognition after his junior and senior seasons ... his father, Dan, played tight end at Indiana from 1975-78, lettering in both 1977 and 1978 ... threw for 1,136 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior and 1,129 yards and 11 touchdowns as a junior ... a four-year starter on the basketball team as well a two-time all-state honoree.
