• Charles Boyd is in his second season with the Indiana football program. He is a special teams analyst and assistant director of player personnel.

• Came to Bloomington after spending 2011 as a defense and special teams quality control assistant at the University of Cincinnati.

• Worked as the running backs coach at Marietta College in 2010.

• Spent the 2008 and 2009 seasons as the defensive coordinator, linebackers coach and special teams coordinator at Woodward High School in Cincinnati.

• Assisted with the linebackers at Cincinnati's Taft High School in 2006.

• Collected All-Mid-States Football Association honors as a linebacker at Urbana University from 2001-03.

• An NAIA All-America selection in 2002 and 2003, Boyd was a three-time team most valuable player and led the league in tackles three straight seasons.

• Running back at Miami (Ohio) University from 1997-99. Indiana head coach Kevin Wilson served as the team's offensive coordinator in 1997 and 1998.

• Earned a bachelor's degree in business computer systems from Urbana.
