A four year starting linebacker at Ball State University (2005-08), Haines was a two-time All-Mid-American Conference selection.
Named a Freshman All-American in 2005 and earned a spot on the Butkus Award Watch List in 2008.
A student assistant for Ball State's 2009 spring practice, Haines graduated with a general studies degree in May 2009.
