    2006 (Sophomore): Followed a stellar freshman season with an equally impressive sophomore year ... hauled in 51 passes for 722 yards and 10 touchdowns ... named second team All-Big Ten by the conference media for the second straight year ... his 20 career receiving touchdowns tie him with Ernie Jones (1984-87) for second on the all-time list, while he trails only Jade Butcher (1967-69), who leads the list with 30 career TD grabs ... had two of the best single-game performances in school history, lighting up Big Ten opponents No. 15/13 Iowa and Michigan State ... against the Hawkeyes, he made eight catches for 104 yards and three touchdowns to become the first Hoosier since Duane Gunn (Oct. 8, 1983) to record three TD receptions in a game ... followed that by becoming the first player in Indiana history and just the 11th player in Big Ten history to pick up four touchdown receptions in a game when he turned the trick against Michigan State ... became the second player in school history (Butcher) to post two games with three touchdown receptions ... caught nine passes for 151 yards and one touchdown at Purdue, his eighth career 100-yard game, tying him with Thomas Lewis (1991-93) for second on that list ... surpassed 1,000 career yards with his 11th career touchdown catch on a 12-yard pass in the third quarter at Ball State ... his 1,615 career yards place him just two yards behind Eddie Beaty (1991-94) for seventh on IU's career list.

    2005 (Freshman): A second team all-league selection and Rivals.com Freshman All-American, Hardy caught 61 passes for 893 yards and 10 touchdowns ... 61 receptions rank second in single-season school history, 893 yards sit fourth and 10 touchdowns share second ... became the first IU receiver since Ernie Jones (1987) to catch at least one touchdown in seven of his first eight games ... caught two touchdown passes on three separate occasions (at Wisconsin, Illinois and at Michigan State) ... recorded a career-high 12 catches for 203 yards and one touchdown at Iowa ... with his performance, Hardy became the fourth receiver in school history to record a 200-yard game and the first since Tyrone Browning racked up 258 yards against Western Michigan (Sept. 12, 1998) ... the first player in school history to catch at least one touchdown pass in six straight games ... the Iowa performance followed a 10-catch, 118-yard effort against Illinois ... the only wide receiver in school history to post double-digit reception efforts in back-to-back games.

    Prep: A two-sport standout at Fort Wayne Elmhurst High School, Hardy was named All-SAC as a wide receiver after making 34 catches for 731 yards and 10 touchdowns as a senior ... following his final campaign, he was a 4A All-State selection by the Indiana Football Coaches Association.

    Personal: Born on Dec. 24, 1985, James Willis Hardy is a general studies major ... also played on the men's basketball team during the 2004-05 season, starting three of the 23 games in which he played.
