Center Chris Mangiero started all 11 games at center, and he also played some offensive guard in 2005. He was second among offensive linemen with 833 total snaps.

Mangiero started the first four games of the 2004 season before a broken foot against Michigan State forced him to miss the remainder of the year. He played over 60 snaps in each of the first three games of the season.

In 2003, he was forced into the lineup after a season-ending injury sustained by Brandon Hatcher. Mangiero stepped in and started the rest of the season.

Mangiero led all of Indiana's true freshmen with 693 snaps of game action in 2003, despite not playing at all during the first three games.

He was sidelined for the preseason of his lone year at Bloomington South with injuries. He missed the season opener due to surgery, and broke his hand during the very first play of a game against Perry Meridian later in the season. Amazingly, Mangiero played the rest of the game, but was kept from playing defense throughout the year, due to his injury. Mangiero started on defense as a sophomore and played on both sides of the ball in 2001 at Poly Prep in Brooklyn, N.Y. In his two seasons prior to coming to Indiana, Mangiero led Poly to a combined 19-0 record.

Born on April 2, 1985, Mangiero is majoring in management.
