    Graduated with a bachelor of science in exercise science with minors in chemistry and biology in December 2009. Reiter won the 2009 Ted Whereatt Senior Academic Excellence Award, which is given to the senior who has excelled academically. A two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection, Reiter played in 17 games in his career with six starts. He also was a 2009 Big Ten Distinguished Scholar Award recipient.

    2009 (Senior): Started two games and appeared in nine at both guard positions ... offensive line allowed just 16 sacks on the season, a total that ranked second in the Big Ten and shared 28th nationally ... front five surrendered one sack per 27.5 pass attempts, which ranked second in the Big Ten ... Reiter did not allow a sack on the season ... Hoosiers finished second in conference games only with 262.4 passing yards per game ... also ended year fourth in overall games and 35th nationally with 247.9 passing yards per game ... team rushed for over 180 yards on four occasions, including 197 yards at No. 23 Michigan and 196 yards vs. Purdue ... 197 yards were IU's second-highest rushing total in 60 all-time games vs. Michigan ... selected a game captain twice ... Academic All-Big Ten selection.

    2008 (Junior): Played in the final seven games of the season with four starts at guard and center ... started two games at left guard, one game at center and one game at right guard ... in his four starts, the team averaged 149.8 rushing yards per game, 4.0 yards per rush and scored six rushing touchdowns ... made the first start of his career at right guard in the Hoosiers' victory over No. 22 (BCS) Northwestern ... Academic All-Big Ten selection.

    2007 (Sophomore): Appeared in his first game as a collegiate player, seeing action against Indiana State in the season opener ... two-time scout team player of the week (Akron and Wisconsin).

    2006 (Freshman): Did not see any game action in 2006.

    2005: Redshirted the 2005 season.

    Prep/Personal: A three-year letterwinner at Parkway Central High School for head coach Mark Goldenberg ... two-year team captain and earned all-state honors as a senior ... also a track and field standout ... a two-time state qualifier in the shot put and discus as a senior ... parents are Les and Connie Reiter ... born on July 29, 1986, Michael Joseph Reiter is an exercise science major.
