    Graduated with a bachelor of arts in criminal justice in May 2010. Thomas ended his career with 30 starts at strong safety. He compiled 269 tackles, 166 solo, three tackles for loss, seven interceptions (126 yards) and five forced fumbles in 43 overall games.

    2009 (Senior): Bounced back from a season-ending ACL injury in 2008 to start all 12 games in 2009 ... tied for third on the team with 67 tackles and finished fifth with 45 solo stops ... led the team with four interceptions (115 yards) and recorded one tackle for loss and one forced fumble ... secured second two-interception game of career with a pair of picks (77 yards) in win at Akron ... raced first INT back 31 yards to the Akron 18-yard line and second 36 yards to the Akron 19 ... netted 10 tackles, nine solo, with one TFL and one forced fumble in the team's win over Illinois ... marked eighth double-digit tackle game of career ... posted nine tackles and returned an interception 38 yards the following week at Northwestern ... made it back-to-back weeks with a pick at No. 7 Iowa in addition to six tackles ... notched eight tackles vs. No. 9 Ohio State and seven stops, six solo, in win over Western Michigan ... recorded five tackles at Virginia, vs. No. 24 Wisconsin, at No. 19 Penn State and vs. Purdue ... selected a game captain three times ... earned the Hoosier Big Play Maker Award on defense along with Nick Polk.

    2008 (Junior): Played in six games with five starts at strong safety ... missed two games with an ankle injury and missed the final four games with a season-ending ACL injury ... finished the year with 41 tackles, 22 solo, and led the team with two interceptions ... leads the Hoosiers with 202 tackles since the start of the 2006 season and is second with 121 solos (Will Patterson, 127) ... also forced a fumble, recorded two tackles for loss and broke up a pass ... had two double-digit tackle games ... collected 10 stops, five solo, picked off a pair off passes and netted one pass breakup in the team's win over No. 22 (BCS) Northwestern ... first interception halted a drive at the IU 11-yard line and the second stopped NU at the Indiana 32 ... added a season-best 11 tackles with one tackle for loss at Illinois ... tallied nine stops, six solo, at Minnesota ... carded five solo stops and forced a fumble vs. Western Kentucky ... preseason third team All-Big Ten selection by Athlon Sports and a third team All-Big Ten selection by Lindy's and Phil Steele's preview magazine.

    2007 (Sophomore): Strong safety named All-Big Ten honorable mention by the coaches and media ... started all 13 games and led the team with 112 tackles, the most since John Kerr's 114 in 2002 ... also led the squad with 64 solos to go along with one forced fumble, one interception and three pass breakups ... finished fifth in Big Ten games only with 10.2 tackles per game and eighth in all games with 8.6 each time out ... posted 22 tackles, 14 solo, at Michigan State, becoming the first Hoosier since Alfonzo Thurman (Nov. 13, 1993, vs. Ohio State) to record 20 tackles in a game ... his 22 tackles were the most by a Hoosier since Joseph Fitzgerald made 22 against Iowa on Oct. 27, 1984 ... collected 12 tackles, nine solo, against Penn State ... went over 10 tackles for the third time on the season with 12 against Purdue ... made eight tackles and recorded his first career interception at Northwestern.

    2006 (Freshman): Finished the season with 49 tackles, 35 solo ... posted 11 tackles and forced a fumble in win over No. 15 Iowa ... led team with 11 tackles and forced a fumble against Southern Illinois ... made seven tackles in his debut against Western Michigan.
