    Bennett closed out his career with 157 tackles, 125 solo, one sack (11 yards), 8.5 tackles for loss (24 yards), one interception, 32 pass breakups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. He started 27 times, including the final 24 over his junior and senior seasons, and played in 35 games overall.

    2014 Honors: Earned the team's Harold Mauro "Loyalty to IU Football" Award.

    2014 (Senior): Led the team with 52 solo stops and nine pass breakups (tied for sixth in the Big Ten) for the second straight year ... made 67 tackles (third on the team) with four tackles for loss and one forced fumble ... started all 12 games ... paced the team in tackles three times (Missouri, Maryland and Rutgers) ... matched a career-high with four PBUs and reached double digits in tackles for the second time in his career with 10, including a career-high-tying eight solo, at Bowling Green ... tied a career-high with two TFLs and added seven solo stops against Maryland ... posted nine tackles, seven solo, with his first career forced fumble and one stop for loss at No. 7 Ohio State ... tallied seven tackles, six solo, with one TFL at Rutgers ... had a pass breakup in five straight games, matching the longest streak of his career ... netted at least six tackles eight times ... two-time IU defensive player of the week (Maryland and Penn State) ... three-time game captain (North Texas, Iowa and Penn State).

    2013 Honors: Received honorable mention All-Big Ten (media) ... named Indiana's Defensive Teammate of the Year.

    2013 (Junior): Led the nation with 20 pass breakups and 21 passes defended ... moved from safety to cornerback during the offseason ... started all 12 games ... paced the team with 61 solo tackles and finished fourth with 73 stops overall ... added 3.5 tackles for loss, one interception and one fumble recovery ... shared the top spot among Big Ten defensive backs with his 61 solos ... recorded seven games with seven-or-more stops ... posted a career- and game-high 12 tackles against Navy ... collected seven solos, three PBUs, two TFLs and the fumble recovery against Missouri ... netted career-bests with eight solos and four pass breakups in the Penn State win ... added three PBUs in victories over Indiana State and Bowling Green (seven solos) ... picked off the pass to go along with nine tackles, seven solo, at Michigan State ... made seven solo stops and a pair of pass breakups in back-to-back games at Michigan and against Minnesota ... IU defensive player of the week (Navy) ... Michigan State game captain.

    2012 (Sophomore): Played in 11 games and started three times (twice at nickel back, once at safety) ... made 17 tackles, 12 solo, with one sack and three pass breakups ... collected six stops, five solo, with one PBU at Navy ... posted four solo tackles in his first career start at Northwestern ... IU special teams player of the week (Ball State).

    Junior College: Defensive back for head coach Mike Virden at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls, Iowa ... recorded 50 tackles, 35 solo, with one interception and one tackle for a loss en route to all-region honors in 2011.
